Welcome! Muchas gracias for checking out my blog. I am the author of The Feast: How to Serve Jesus in a Famished World (Leafwood, 2009). My second book,  Heaven on Earth (Abingdon Press, 2012)–with Chris Seidman, is available everywhere books are sold. In 2013, I will publish a third book focusing on Islam and Christianity in America: Tearing Down the Walls: A Brief Guide for Christians and Muslims Living in North America.  One of my real passions is the work I do week in and week out: I am the preaching and teaching minister for the Otter Creek Church in Nashville, Tennessee. I enjoy speaking and teaching for churches, universities, and conferences all around the United States. I completed a doctorate degree from Columbia Seminary, where I studied the relationship of postmodernism and Christianity. I also teach adjunct in the Doctor of Ministry program at Lipscomb University.

In addition to other articles and essays (Missio Dei, The Contributor, Christian Standard), I am married to Kara—the daily source of joy in my life and the real theologian in the family. We have two life-giving sons: Lucas and Finn.
