Exploring the Collision of Culture & Faith
Risky Business

I’m doing a teaching on “risk” today at Otter Creek. I love how one Roman Catholic theologian captures the mission of the local church.

“A church which pitches its tents, without constantly looking for new horizons, which does not continually strike camp, is being untrue to its calling . . . We must play down our longing for certainty, accept what is risky, live by improvisation and experiment.”—Hans Küng

Great lesson on Sunday Josh. The risk factor angle on faith….love that and also it challenges me. Thanks.

Oh Yeah! I wish the local church had a better grasp on risk (hey, I wish I did too!). Great comment.

By the way, got your book, read it, loved it. I’ll be referring to it often I’m sure.

Also, I’m pulling for your Tigers given my beloved Rangers will be watching the playoffs again.

Thanks for the feedback per the book. Thanks even more for rooting on the Tigers. Though karma might get us tomorrow.

Greg–thanks friend. Hope all is well with your family.
